The hand work

Four days on a frame, one blouse

Every piece of embroidery here is done by hand on a wooden frame. The design is traced, the fabric is stretched, and the work goes in stitch by stitch. It is slower and it looks different up close, which is the point.

Tracing The motif is drawn on butter paper, pricked, and dusted onto the fabric in chalk.

Framing Fabric is stretched drum tight on a wooden adda so the stitch tension stays even.

Stitching Aari needle from below, thread and sequins from above. A dense yoke takes three to four days.

Finishing Off the frame, washed, pressed, lined and hand hemmed. Then Vandna checks it.

Who makes this

Vandna, and a room full of frames

Vandna started Poshak because customers kept asking for the one thing a shop rack cannot give them, an outfit that fits and hand work that is actually done by hand. She draws every design, picks the thread, and checks the finish before a piece leaves.

The studio is in Yelenahalli, off Begur-Koppa Road. Walk in with a photo you saved, a fabric you already own, or nothing at all.

Made to measure

How a custom order works

Six steps, no design fee, and you approve the sketch before we cut.

Tell us what you want WhatsApp a photo, a Pinterest save, or a sketch on paper. We reply with what is possible and what it will cost.

Design and sketch We turn your idea into a sketch and confirm the cost. Nothing is cut until you say yes to it.

Measurements Come to the studio or send twelve measurements using our guide. We will tell you if something looks off.

Fabric and thread You pick from what is in the studio or bring your own. We show thread colours against the fabric in daylight.

Stitching begins Your piece goes on the frame. Most embroidery takes three to seven days depending on how dense the work is.

Fitting and delivery One trial fitting on ready pieces, two on bridal. Ready in 7 to 10 days, delivered or picked up.
